Electrician in Torrent — two towns, two wiring problems.
The largest town in the metro area is really two electrical worlds: villas up in El Vedat with pools, gates and electric cars, and sixties-to-nineties blocks in the centre still living on the panel they were built with.
In plain terms
A local electrician for Torrent, from the centre to El Vedat.
Up the hill the question is capacity — a villa with a pool pump, air conditioning, a gate motor and now a car wants more than a domestic single-phase supply was ever asked for. Down in the centre the question is age: flats whose panel has one differential for the whole home and cable that has quietly outlived its plastic.

What we fix and install most in Torrent.
Villas that have run out of power
El Vedat homes where the pool pump, the air conditioning and the gate motor argue every summer — load measured, three-phase priced honestly against redistribution. From €490.
EV chargers on hillside plots
Long runs from the panel to a detached garage, sized for voltage drop rather than optimism, with load management so the house does not trip when the car charges.
Garden and driveway lighting
Pines, gravel drives and gate pillars: weather-rated fittings on their own protected circuit, buried properly the first time. From €390.
Panels from the block-building era
Centre flats with one differential guarding everything — replaced with a labelled board that isolates kitchen, bathroom and lighting separately.
Cable that has aged out
Seventies and eighties risers and flat wiring with brittle insulation — measured, judged in writing, rewired in a planned programme rather than a panic. From €2,490.

Questions, answered
Electrical work in Torrent — the local questions.
Do I need three-phase for my El Vedat villa?
Often not. We measure what the house actually draws at its worst moment — pool pump, air conditioning, oven and car together — before recommending anything. Sometimes redistributing circuits and adding load management solves it for a fraction of the cost; when three-phase genuinely is the answer, you get that in writing with the reasoning attached.
Can you install an EV charger in a detached garage?
Yes, and the distance is the interesting part: a long run needs cable sized for voltage drop, not just for current, plus its own protection and a load-management setting so charging never trips the house. Installation starts at €590 once we have seen the run.
Is there a surcharge for coming up the hill?
No. Torrent pays the same published prices as Valencia city — the ten municipalities we serve share one price list, and distance changes our departure time rather than your invoice.
Our flat's panel has one switch for everything. Is that worth changing?
Yes, and not only for safety. With a single differential, one faulty appliance darkens the whole flat and tells you nothing about which circuit failed. A separated, labelled panel from €340 isolates the fault, keeps the fridge running and makes every future diagnosis faster.
