FAQ · Valencia

Electrical questions in Valencia — answered before you book.

Eighteen direct answers about prices, urgency, testing, documentation and coverage — collected from what clients actually ask, and written the way we would want to be answered ourselves.

Who we are

The company behind the electricians.

Who is VELTORRA Electricidad?

The dedicated electrical division of VELTORRA, a Valencia home-engineering company. Same standards and the same contacts as the parent business, with a site and a team pointed entirely at electrical work.

Do you work in English?

English, Spanish and Russian — the conversation, the quotation and the guarantee in whichever of the three is yours. Nothing important survives only as a verbal translation.

Who is responsible for my job?

One lead electrician, named, from the first diagnosis to the handover. Colleagues join for larger works, but the person answering your messages does not change halfway through.

Prices

Electrician prices in Valencia — how the money works.

How much does an electrician cost in Valencia?

Starting prices are published on every service page: call-outs from €50, fault finding from €60, safety inspections from €140, panel upgrades from €340, sockets from €40 per point, lighting from €60 per point, EV chargers from €590 and full rewiring from €2,490. Your exact figure is fixed in writing before work starts.

Do you charge for estimates?

Written estimates based on photos and a description are free. Visits that involve real diagnosis have published fees — the €50 call-out and fault finding from €60 — and both are credited against the repair you approve.

Can the final invoice exceed the quotation?

Not without your written approval first. If something genuinely unforeseeable appears behind a wall, work pauses and you decide on the revision before anything continues.

Is the price the same across the whole service area?

Yes. The published starting prices apply in all ten municipalities, with no travel surcharge. Distance changes our departure time, not your invoice.

Process & testing

How the work is done, tested and documented.

What happens on an urgent call-out?

Priority scheduling inside working hours — typically within hours in Valencia city. The €50 call-out covers arrival and diagnosis, and you hear the fault, the fix and the figure before anything is repaired. A message that arrives outside working hours gets safety advice straight away and the first slot of the next working day.

What exactly do you measure at handover?

Insulation resistance, earth continuity, differential (RCD) trip times and voltage drop — recorded as numbers on a sheet that stays with you. An assumption is not a test result.

What happens to wiring that disappears behind a wall?

It is photographed and dated before the chase is filled. If anyone ever needs to know where a cable runs, the photo record answers the question instead of a hammer.

Do you supply materials, or can I buy my own?

Either. We fit client-purchased fittings, lamps and chargers gladly, and quote our own supply transparently so you can compare like for like. Breakers and protective devices we prefer to supply ourselves — that is not the part of the job to save twelve euros on.

Coverage, languages & scheduling

Where we work, when, and in which language.

Which areas do you cover?

Valencia city plus Torrent, Paterna, Burjassot, Mislata, L'Eliana, Godella, Rocafort, Alboraya and Sagunto, at identical published prices. Other locations in the province are considered case by case.

What are your working hours?

Monday to Friday 08:00–19:00 and Saturday 09:00–14:00. Urgent work is prioritised inside those hours; we would rather say that plainly than sell an always-on promise we could not keep.

Do you work with owners who live abroad?

Constantly. Access is coordinated with tenants or neighbours, progress is reported by message with photos, and the invoice arrives by email. The written-everything habit was practically designed for remote owners.

How far ahead should I book planned work?

Standard jobs usually fit inside the week. Larger works — rewiring, a panel replacement, a full lighting plan — are scheduled a few weeks out with a written programme. Unsafe faults skip the queue.

What stays with you

What you keep after the electrician leaves.

What documentation do I receive?

The itemised written quotation, the dated photo record of concealed runs, the measured test results from handover and the written workmanship guarantee. Beyond that we prepare the technical documentation your particular case needs.

Will the panel actually be labelled?

Yes — every breaker named for the circuit it controls, in your language, on the day the work finishes. It costs us fifteen minutes and saves the next person an entire afternoon.

What does the guarantee cover?

Our workmanship, in writing, alongside the manufacturer's warranty on the equipment installed. Because the concealed work is photographed and the tests are recorded, the guarantee rests on evidence rather than goodwill.

Your question is not here?

Ask it directly — an electrician reads every message and replies in writing, usually the same working day.
